Parts of Sandton still without water as Joburg Water incurs challenges

Parts of Riverclub, Morningside and extended areas remain without water after Johannesburg Water experienced challenges with a tie-in.

Update, November 10, 14:00:

Johannesburg Water estimates that, if all goes to plan, water will be restored in a phased approach to the Riverclub, Littlefillan, Morningside and surrounding areas close to midnight on November 10.

This follows complications experienced by the city entity while conducting tie-inns on November 8.

According to an update by Johannesburg Water,  it is currently waiting for the arrival of new fittings.

“The contractor will then complete the installation, which may take four to five hours. Water will then be restored in a phased approach to monitor for leaks on the new installations.”
