High hopes for the future of the economy as JSE Investment Challenge sees record participation

This year’s Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) Investment Challenge was a great success, not only seeing record numbers of participation but this year’s students outperformed the all-share index.

With a record number of 24 000 participants, this year’s Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) Investment Challenge’s top traders showed better returns than the all-share index despite the prevailing trading environment.

This was according to JSE director of marketing and corporate affairs Vuyo Lee at the Investment Challenge Awards on October 21 in Sandton.

“I would like to thank this year’s participants for their interest in enhancing their understanding of this very dynamic world of trade and investment. We at the JSE hope that through the challenge you have found yourself more curious and excited about personal finance.”
