Local entrepreneur takes major win at inaugural business incubator

After a year-long entrepreneurial programme in Sandton aimed at uplifting local small businesses, Delivery ka-Speed is crowned as the winner, taking home a major cash injection.

Fourways’ very own small business Delivery ka-Speed was crowned the winner of Future of the Entrepreneurship to the Point’s (eTTP) Future Table initiative, taking home R50 000 in cash.

The programme, which is aimed at creating economic inclusion through entrepreneurship, hosted its third and final round-table discussion for local entrepreneurs who have a passion for sustainability.

Each bi-monthly event in Sandton invites three entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to a panel of industry experts.

In the end, all nine refined proposals are then resubmitted and adjudicated by independent industry leaders. After careful consideration, three strong proposals were selected and shortlisted for a final pitch session at what was deemed the Final Supper.

In the end, Delivery Ka-Speed founder Godiragetse Mogajane was named the inaugural Future Table winner.

“Winning this prize simply helps me to assist more and more youth to become successful and self-sufficient. I am most proud of the fact that we can employ young people – many of whom have given up and would otherwise be faced with other social ills.

“We all know the many challenges we face in the township, and I am proud that we can play a part in finding solutions,” said Mogajane.

ETTP founder Shawn Theunissen noted that it was a fitting end to the year-long process of working with small and growing businesses.

“We are proud of the process and look forward to working with the winning business to create a media profile and help realise their potential for growth.”
