No ETR yet for households affected by water shutdown in Fourways, Bryanston and surrounds

An estimated 10 000 properties in the Fourways, Bryanston and surrounding areas are experiencing no water/low water pressure on September 28 as Joburg Water attends to a major burst pipe on the corner of Witkoppen Road and William Nicol Drive.

An estimated 10 000 properties are currently being affected by an emergency water shutdown in the Fourways, Bryanston and surrounding areas as a result of a major burst pipe.

The shutdown commenced in the early hours of September 28 when teams from Johannesburg Water isolated the Bryanston reservoir and tower to carry out the repairs.

According to an update from Joburg Water, while no estimated time of restoration (ETR) is available yet, mobile water tankers have been dispatched.

Tankers are currently refilling at:
· Fourways Life Hospital
· Witkoppen Clinic
· Tezula Complex

Affected areas include parts of Bryanston, Lyme Park, Rivonia, Fourways, Douglasdale, Lagaliesig, Witkoppen, Maroeladal, Craigavon, Dainfern, Kengies, Lonehill, Beverly, Paulshof, Pinelopes, Magaliesig View and Noscot.

Work on the main has been ongoing since September 24, since then residents have experienced inconsistent water supply.
