Head of Montrose Primary School Esports, Ronel Saucer, gears up with her learners to take on 16 schools in the 2022 Comic Con for KidsCon.

The phrase ‘no one gets left behind’ was demonstrated by Montrose Primary School which is known for hosting spectacular sporting events.

This time, the school prioritised their gamers and hosted their long-awaited Esports tournament, the Lenovo Arena Montrose event to showcase the many hidden talents of their learners.

The three-series inter-school tournament was host to more than 95 gamers and 24 teams and in the finals on August 27, Montrose Mavericks were up against Centennial School and Jacaranda International and Pre-Primary School.

With the Jacaranda team having the upper hand by having no defeats throughout the tournament, they met their match in their final game against the Mavericks.
