Children treated to a burger and Santa

Charity Event Spreads Joy and Generosity at Rivonia Village

On November 18th, 2023, Rivonia Village shopping centre played host to a heartwarming charity event that brought smiles to the faces of 14 children from the Safe Haven Children’s Home based in Woodmead.

The atmosphere was filled with warmth as the children, accompanied by their house parents, Susan and Michael Harris, were treated to a delightful lunch at Rocomamas. A scrumptious burger and chips were served up for everyone, followed by delicious milkshakes for dessert.

To add to the excitement of the evening, Santa Claus himself made a surprise appearance, spreading joy and cheer among the children. Each child had the opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap and receive a special gift, including sweets and a R200 Pick n Pay Clothing voucher. The joy and gratitude in the children’s eyes were truly heartening, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The event not only brought joy to the children but also highlighted the spirit of generosity and community in Rivonia. The Rivonia Village team would like to express their sincere gratitude to Rocomamas for their contribution to the event and to Santa for taking the time to make the evening extra special.
