Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference offers 100s of avenues for new business growth

Business leaders and entrepreneurs are encouraged to explore the opportunities to grow their businesses at the conference.

The third edition of the annual Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference & Single Country Exhibition  is taking place in South Africa at the end of November 2022. The two-day trade event will present hundreds of new business opportunities to South Africans from big business to SME’s, entrepreneurs and start-ups. The prospects for all to connect and partner with international brands for distribution and doing business in SA are limitless. The event is free to enter and takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre from November 30 to December 1, 2022.

In the last decade in defiance of a general global trade decline, Pakistan has seen its exports grow year-on-year by an impressive 11.7 %. These figures show that the country is serious about increasing its footprint and bringing business to other countries.

The Government of Pakistan launched its “Look Africa” Policy in 2017 to enhance economic focus on African countries, and has previously taken the annual Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference & Single Country Exhibition to Kenya and Nigeria, with South Africa being the third country to be chosen to host this event. This year the Government of Pakistan is targeting the entire SADC region. The Single Country Exhibition will have in excess of a 140 exhibitors from a wide range of industries.

Judging by the highly successful events in Nairobi and Lagos in 2020 and 2021 respectively, where significant partnerships, trade agreements and economic ties were formed, this year’s event at the Sandton Conference Centre is not to be missed. At previous event in Nigeria, over 93 MOUs were signed with local businesses, generating 32 million US dollars in business.

The event is a rare opportunity for any SME, corporation, entrepreneur or government from the SADC region to find new partners, products, suppliers and technologies to expand their growth. This is a rare opportunity to view the multiple sectors of Pakistan’s many business, industrial and manufacturing operations. Goods on display range from kitchen and household items to IT, construction, agriculture, food and spices, surgical instruments and pharmaceuticals. The biggest draw though is, above all, to close lucrative deals and get valuable distribution rights for South African businesses to grow even further.

On display will be multiple sectors of their own manufacturing industries exhibiting their finest products, technology and equipment and hundreds of international brands.

“Africa, particularly the SADC and SACU regions, are important partners in this growth, and exhibitors are keenly anticipating the opportunity to show what they can offer our region,” says Humaira Israr, Trade & Investment Attaché of Pakistan to South Africa.

“This is an ideal opportunity for you to see hundreds of new brands, products, technologies and equipment. Most of these haven’t been seen here before, so they present a great opportunity for people to build their businesses with new partners, suppliers and technologies,” says Israr.

The event covers a host of sectors, including but not limited to; agriculture, articles of leather, articles of plastic, auto parts, cement, construction, cutlery and kitchenware, electromechanical machinery (pumps, generators, transformers, motors), engineering, home appliances, IT, packaging, paints and chemicals, pharmaceuticals, rice, seafood and meat, spices, salt and processed foods, solar, sporting goods, steel and cables, surgical instruments, textiles and apparel and tractors.

Entry to the event at The Sandton Convention Centre as well as online registration is free. For further information you can visit www.pakafrica.info  or contact +27 73 739 3522 or info@patdc-sce.com
