Redhill School’s annual Spring Day festivities brought a vibrant and energetic atmosphere to the entire campus, with learners, parents, and staff coming together for a day filled with creativity and enthusiasm.
The event, which involved participants from KG1 to Grade 12, showcased the imaginative flair of the Redhill community, making it a memorable and meaningful day for all involved.

The celebration was not just about the bright colours and fun activities but also about fostering a sense of community and creativity.
“Spring Day provides a platform for our learners and parents to express their creativity, while also building memories that last long after their time at school,” said Shelli Nurcombe-Thorne, Redhill School’s marketing and communications manager.
“It’s these moments that bring our community closer together and remind us of the unique bond we share at Redhill.”
Parents played a significant role in the day’s success, collaborating with learners to enhance the festive atmosphere with imaginative outfits, props, and activities.
The campus was filled with colour, laughter, and a sense of unity as different grades participated in their own way.

The creativity extended beyond the learners, with school staff also joining the celebrations and contributing to the lively ambiance.
Executive head Joseph Gerassi highlighted the significance of the event.
“These celebrations provide outlets for our learners’ and parents’ creativity and are something that learners often remember when they look back on their time at school. What may seem like a small event from the outside is, in fact, a substantial and meaningful experience for our community,” he remarked.
Adding to the joyful spirit, the school staff received a delightful treat during break time – a surprise delivery of ice creams from Baglios in Morningside Shopping Centre.
This gesture of appreciation for the hard work and dedication of Redhill’s teachers was warmly received.
“It was a thoughtful and much-welcomed treat,” added Nurcombe-Thorne. “It’s these small acts of kindness that remind us how valued our teachers are.”
