Sandton CPF seeks dedicated community members for Sector 1 committee

People Interested in being part of the Sector 1 committee are urged to submit their nominations promptly to help shape a safer future for all residents in Sandton.

The Sandton Community Policing Forum (CPF) is inviting residents and workers of Sandton to step forward and contribute to community safety by filling key roles in its Sector 1 committee.

Currently, the CPF is seeking candidates for the positions of secretary and deputy secretary, crucial to ensuring effective communication and coordination within the organisation.

Roshan Byjnal, the PRO of the Sandton CPF, emphasised the importance of these roles in fostering community collaboration.

“Our Sector 1 committee plays a vital role in enhancing safety initiatives and fostering partnerships between residents, businesses, and law enforcement,” he said.

Candidates interested in these voluntary positions must meet specific eligibility criteria set by the CPF.

Eligible individuals must reside or work within Sandton, be South African citizens, and meet other criteria including having no criminal record and not holding positions in law enforcement or private security companies. Those under 18 years old may apply for the Youth Desk role.

“Elected office bearers are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and commit to annual clearances with SAPS. They will also need to adhere to our CPF constitution and code of conduct.”
