Local learners excel in the Global Mental Maths Challenge, competing against peers from 59 countries.
Crawford International College Sandton learners made an impressive impact on the global stage, competing against participants from 59 countries in the prestigious Mental Maths Challenge.
In the first round, the young mathematicians showcased their exceptional skills. According to the school’s mathematics teacher Freddy Musada, leading the charge was Moath Hakami who secured the number one ranking in South Africa, a remarkable feat that highlighted his outstanding mental calculation abilities.

“Rushil Balla achieved an impressive sixth place, followed by Rahul Mistry in 11th place, and Alexia De Jesus in 13th place,” said Musada.
He added these remarkable results were a testament to the learners’ dedication, hard work, and exceptional mathematical talent.
“Their achievements not only reflect their commitment but also the quality of education and support provided by their school and community.”
