Sandton learner Alannis qualifies for equestrian nationals

Grade 11 learner in Sandton, Alannis, and her horse Labrausco, galloped to glory at the SANESA regional finals, securing a spot in the National championships.

Alannis Waite, a Grade 11 learner at the Crawford International College Sandton, and her horse Labrausco, recently demonstrated their exceptional equestrian skills at the SANESA regional core league finals held at Kyalami Equestrian Park.

Representing the Johannesburg Central District, Alannis competed in both the Equitation and Prix Caprilli categories.

In a remarkable display of skill, talent, and dedication, Alannis and Labrausco secured an impressive third place in the Equitation category.

This outstanding achievement qualifies them to represent Gauteng at the upcoming National Championships.

Nadia Cooke, the school’s communication representative, expressed her pride in Alannis’s accomplishment, stating, “we are incredibly proud of Alannis’s dedication and hard work. Her success is a testament to her commitment and passion for equestrian sports.”

She added that as Alannis prepares to compete at the national level, they wish her the best of luck.
