Katie Mohamed launches empowering book, Brave, Today, in Sandton

A celebration of empowerment and authenticity with Katie Mohamed in Sandton.

Katie Mohamed, a dynamic leader, speaker, and advocate for women’s empowerment, launched her much-anticipated debut book, Brave, Today, at Al-Hamra restaurant in Sandton on August 15.

The event was a powerful celebration of resilience, empowerment, and the transformative impact of personal stories.

Mohamed, a prominent figure in South Africa’s media and business landscape, has long been a leading voice in uplifting and inspiring women nationwide and beyond.

With Brave, Today, she offers readers a guide to embracing their courage and living authentically, drawing on her own experiences and challenges.

The launch event attracted a diverse audience, including leaders in business, media, and the arts, as well as friends, family, and supporters.

Renowned poet Lebogang Mashile, who hosted the evening, emphasised the significance of storytelling in driving social change and fostering cohesion.

As the book went on sale, Mohamed signed copies for attendees, many of whom shared how they felt a personal connection to the themes of the book and how Mohamed’s words had already begun to make a difference in their lives.
