The Friends of Sandton Library will host their monthly book sale on August 1 and 2, from 09:00 to 17:00.

The books will be sold for R20 and locals are encouraged to bring their bags along.
“The purpose of these book sales is to raise funds for new books in eleven months of the year (excluding December) and also assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the library,” said the chairperson of the Friends of Sandton Library, Jeanette Baller.

“We welcome any volunteers who want to come and assist at the library and since we depend on book donations, we would appreciate it if people who are either downsizing or relocating could get in touch with us and donate their books.”
Donations may also be collected by prior arrangement with Jeanette Baller on 082 460 2839.
