Networking with confidence and purpose

Women discover tips and insights on how to build a business that not only supports but also propels them towards their professional goals.

Enabling fellow women in business to be equipped to network in their daily lives and network with intent, purpose, and confidence is what the How-To-Her Women in Business Brunch aimed to bring to the table.

Hosted by LuxPro, a cutting-edge events management company founded by a young female entrepreneur, the event delivered and brought together aspiring female founders who mingled with industry experts for a day of learning, connecting, and growing, on May 25.

The founder of the Inside Out Girls Campaign, Imani Ndaba.

The event consisted of a panel discussion with real-life experiences shared by speakers who have already begun their journey to being successful female entrepreneurs.

According to the founder of the Inside Out Girls Campaign, Imani Ndaba, the event offered the women who attended the opportunity to gain business industry knowledge and equip themselves with the tools to become trailblazers in their various niche markets.

Jeniffer Dlamini speaks about going for your business idea in full force.

One of the speakers, Jessica Dlamini, a 30-year-old serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, and safety engineering expert making major waves in Africa and the Middle East, advised young women keen on getting into the entrepreneurial space.

“Congratulations on having that idea, go for it, full force and please do your research, put your best foot forward, and do it as we need you to. We are waiting for you in the business space. If you dare to conceive that idea, you do have the ability to see it through. So go for it.”

She added that being in the business world requires having thick skin, even when one struggles to show up.

Valerie Tuge LuxèPro event founder and CEO.

“As young women, black women specifically get a lot of pushbacks when entering this space, so having that confidence and thick skin saves you from a lot of hurt and demotivation.”

Adding on to that was Zoe Olifant, a multi-Air BnB host, short-term rental manager, lifestyle content creator, and BA graduate. “As a young woman, never underestimate the value you have to offer.

“I have said this at some events, but I’ll reiterate that you always have value to bring wherever you are. Use that, take advantage of your power, and watch how things fall into place for your business.”

Emphasising what Olifant said, healing and personal transformation coach and pageant mentor, Coach Lindaah, pointed out that no adversity is worth losing your creativity, productivity, happiness, and peace of mind.

“If you lose this, you have lost everything. Purify your heart, connect to your higher self, and live healthier, happier, and freer. Work on yourself, get a life coach who can assist you with healing and personal transformation, and move towards wholeness.”
