Michael Mount Waldorf School gives back to the community

With their hearts full and spirits lifted, the learners at Michael Mount Waldorf have proven that no act of kindness is too small and that by working together, they can make a tangible difference in the lives of others.

In a heartening display of unity and compassion, Michael Mount Waldorf School learners banded together to make a meaningful difference for those around them.
Empowered by a desire to give back, these young learners embarked on a noble mission to collect second-hand clothes for those in need.

As part of the school’s curriculum, Grade 10 focuses on community work, and the initiative is called Clothes to Good.

According to William Bester, the school headmaster, the school supports this sustainable initiative yearly as one of its community outreach projects.

“Our Grade 10 learners are also allowed to learn the four disciplines of execution (4DX), which are focus, leverage, engagement and accountability, at the start of the campaign so that they learn how to complete a project in a structured, achievable manner.”

He added they did a remarkable job in coordinating this event, and in total, they were able to donate about 225 bags of clothes.

“Michael Mount wishes to extend a big thank you to Clothes to Good for their positive work, to our dedicated Grade 10s and their class guardian teachers, and to everyone in our community who contributed to our drive this year. We look forward to those in the years to come.”
