Student Reshen Moodley chases his dreams

Reshen Moodley is a top student in his field and will be starting a new job at SAB this coming February.

When they say hard work pays, it sure does, as is evident for IIE’s Varsity College Sandton student Reshen Moodley.

The recent graduate is over the moon as he is about to join the Anheuser-Busch InBev-South African Breweries as a DynamX Trainee this coming February, under the college’s graduate programme.

This is another step he is taking towards establishing his career, as he has been working hard to make himself shine in the industry.

According to Anto Kagisho, the PR personnel at the college, during Moodley’s completion of his degree, he maintained a 75% average. He participated in the L’Oréal Brandstorm project and the Deloitte Vibe Project. He was also one of the top 100 students in South Africa recognised by the DHL Grad Star Awards, among the 6 000 students participating.

“The L’Oréal Brandstorm project was a project that took place during an activation at the IIE’s Varsity College Sandton, during which selected students were challenged to integrate AI technology into the L’Oréal market. During the Deloitte Vibe Project, Moodley and his team were tasked with developing sustainable strategies for Deloitte to apply.”

She said these projects provided invaluable hands-on experience and allowed Moodley to collaborate with industry professionals.

“These experiences did not only sharpen his strategic thinking but also developed his ability to navigate complex challenges.”

Moodley said his biggest support and motivation throughout his journey have undeniably been his parents, Yogan and Viloshini, and his twin brother Thaven.

“Their belief in my abilities, encouragement during challenges, and celebration of my successes have been the driving force behind my achievements. My parents instilled in me the values of perseverance, dedication, and the importance of continuous learning. Their sacrifices and guidance have shaped my character and provided a solid foundation for my academic and professional pursuits.”

He added having a twin brother who shares a unique bond and understanding, had been a constant source of inspiration for him.

“We navigate our paths yet our mutual support has been an invaluable source of strength.”
