Ferndale Bowling Club chases promotion to second division

Warren Steyn of Ferndale Bowling Club explained that they are looking forward to the next match, and they hope to win

Ferndale Bowling Club hosted Bryanston Sports at the Johannesburg Bowls Association (JBA) Saturday League Men’s Trips Division Three.

Ferndale won 4—1 on the one rink but the visitors won 5—0 on the neighbouring rink and managed to do enough to win two bonus points and claim an overall 8—4 victory.

Warren Steyn of the Ferndale Club explained that their performance was great, and a great surface always brings out better performances. The league consists of 11 games, and they have six games left to play.

For the first time this season, Ferndale has been bumped down to second place and is one point behind the top spot.

Steyn added that bowling is truly a sport without barriers. Inspiration is achieved by being humble, and playing with, and against, people of all ages, races, religions, gender, and disabilities.

Bowling offers all the support you could imagine, this is more like unexplained therapy for anyone, and blissful peace.”
