Sandton Chronicle spoke to a few learners with prior consent from their parents.

The learners were asked how they felt about being in ‘big school’, if they’ll be participating in any sports, and what they most look forward to learning at school.
Here is what the learners of Bryanston Primary School had to say…

Cruz Kemertgoglou: I feel happy and good to be at school. I want to play all the sports and chess. I want to learn about numbers this year.
Yara Singh: I am happy. I want to do athletics this year and I also want to learn how to draw.
Norah Benjamin: I feel good to be in Grade 1. I want to do running and want to learn how to draw.
Kai Starck: I feel good. I want to do athletics and learn many subjects.
Angelo Pretoritis: It feels nice to be in school with my brother in Grade 2. I want to do swimming and running. I can swim in the deep end. I want to learn to read and do maths.
Tlohonolofatso Khalane: I feel great to be at school. I want to play sports and do swimming. I will learn to count and I will learn to draw.
