Family day at the Cover Drive Cricket School

Cover Drive Cricket School hopes to go from strength to strength next year.

Cover Drive Cricket School hosted its last day of the year at Grayston Preparatory School.

Head coach Sydwell Ndlovu said the day aimed to have a beautiful family fun day celebrating lifelong friendships, a fruitful year, and the development of their players.

“Our players did enjoy playing against their parents early this year and unfortunately lost, but today the players came prepared and won comfortably.”

He added that the parents batted first and posted 188 in 24 overs, while the players chased down the total in 22 overs, winning the game.

Ndlovu emphasised how proud and happy he is of the boys and hopes to see them next year with the same eagerness and enthusiasm.

“We have had a successful year and hope we can continue next year with the same enthusiasm and positive minds. I would love to thank all the parents and everyone who has supported us from day one.”
