Petticoat Day at Morningside Country Club

The one-day event saw the teams dress up in their witches and wizards costumes before taking to the greens.

The witches and wizards were out to play and have fun at the Morningside Country Club on December 3.

According to MCC manager Steve Smit, the club’s bowls division, every year hosts its annual Petticoat Day, and this year’s theme is Witches and Wizards.

“Today is Petticoat Day; it is a fundraiser, and we get to call all clubs in the area to come be together and play with each other.”

He added that this day is a fun, socialising day that is aimed at making donations for a charity.

“As you can see dressed in my Harry Potter outfits- we are all going to have fun, get to know each other and maybe pick up a few points in playing the lawn bowls games.”
