In a world where fashion is a thriving global industry, South Africa is making strides to promote its fashion, textiles, footwear, and leather sectors.
Fashion lovers, influencers, designers, and media people enjoyed an evening at Levelthree Premium Venue, Kramerville, witnessing local fashion talents sipping great drinks and munching on delicious foods.
The Local Fashion Police campaign is an annual consumer competition by Proudly South African and is leading the charge in the local fashion industry.
Happy Makhumalo Ngidi, the Proudly SA CMO said, “The campaign’s mission is not only to highlight the immense potential of this sector but to create jobs and breathe life into the country’s fashion industry.”
She added the Clothing, Textiles, Footwear, and Leather (CTFL) industry in South Africa was not just about clothing, it was a significant driver of employment.
“The Local Fashion Police campaign aims to encourage South Africans to support the local CTFL industry, which has the potential to generate numerous jobs and enrich the local creative arts economy.”
She concluded the campaign reminded South Africans that buying local was about more than just a purchase, it was an investment in their communities and their country and a celebration of homegrown talent.
