Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosts a successful networking breakfast

Patrick Ache said that the RCCI has been existing for over 20 years and he is very fortunate for being a networking convener.

Serial entrepreneur, author, and founder and CEO of Raizcorp, Allon Raiz used a recent networking event to advise business owners about what to avoid when setting up for growth in their companies.

Speaking at the Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) event, Raiz explained that during a period of growth, businesses would experience challenges which he referred to as ‘tripwires’.

He talked about three tripwires:

Loyalty crisis – When the business grows, more employers are employed and the ‘old’ employees feel like they are being neglected or left behind because of the change and the growth the company is going through.

Rules crisis – When there are many employees in a business, not everyone will abide by them. Companies need to put rules in place that will apply to everyone in the company in the early stages.

Intimacy crisis – When the employees do not know who you [business owner] are, that is a problem because if they do not know who you are, they do not know your vision, values, and purpose for you and your business.

“With these points, a business leader has a decision to make – learn and grow with the organisation or keep the status quo and crumble,” said Raiz.

Owner of Minuteman Press and RCCI member Warwick Corder said, “I’ve known about Raiz for quite a while. I was interested to see what he had to share, the topic interested me. ‘I’m a supporter of the RCCI and it’s good meeting like-minded business owners we can work with in the future.”

Transformative business coach and RCCI member Patrick Ache said the purpose of the meeting was to connect as members and non-members of the RCCI.

“People learned a lot and made valuable connections and I think they are excited for more of these meetings. We look forward to doing more of these activities and helping our members to grow,” added Ache.
The RCCI is a platform for business owners to come together and support each other and their company growth through networking events, education, sharing of resources, and marketing of each other’s businesses.
