Based in Sandton, the BabyYumYum organisation has bridged the gap between the sharing of information on parenting skills by translating their online content in isiZulu.
The organisation started receiving comments and posts on social media in Zulu which sparked the idea of making their information more inclusive to the masses.
“It is my belief that no one should be denied access to high-quality content, based on their geographic location, income bracket or economic circumstances – and that’s why the content on BabyYumYum.co.za will always be free and a part of our community,” said the founder of the organisation, Amanda Rogaly.
Engagement specialist Priscilla Macoba said South Africa is home to a large diversity of languages. “The country demonstrates tolerance of other people, it also captures the essence of sharing with others.
“This natural progression is the first of many steps to keep connecting with our diverse parenting community and offers brands an exciting opportunity.”
According to Rogaly, the future of the organisation is to host live Instagram and Facebook shows to reach their audience.
