Cover Drive Cricket School goes from strength to strength

Head coach of the Cover Drive Cricket School situated in Bryanston is excited about the new challenges and success that 2023 will bring and is more than delighted to have new young cricketers in his squad.

Perfecting anything starts at the development phase of an individual and for the Cover Drive Cricket School, their biggest priority has always been producing the finest cricket players at an early age.

Based in Bryanston, the members of the academy shared some of their great runs of 2022.

“We had a great 2022 with most of our young players managing to get retained across all the age groups that we have trained. It was sad to say goodbye to our U19 squad as they are branching out in life and we wish them nothing but success in their different journeys,” said head coach, Sydwell Ndlovu.

Ndlovu added their plans for the new year and how the academy plans to accomplish them.
“Our vision at the development level is to produce adaptable cricketers across all formats of the game from school competitions to provincial levels, we are determined to produce the best players. This does not happen overnight; we created a five-year plan to direct us as a cricket school and at the centre of it all our players and their parents. If the cricket is right, everything else will fall into place,” said Ndlovu.

The coach concluded by welcoming new players to their academy from U9s to U18s at their facility located at Bryanston High School.
