Bryanston Sports Club aids one of their family members

Bryanston Sports Club reminded all of its members and staff officials to cherish every moment on this earth at a farewell gathering for their late bartender Jabu Ndlovu on January 27.

“Jabu worked as a fantastic bartender at the club and sadly his life was taken away from us after we celebrated our children’s Christmas party. He was an amazing human that enjoyed getting to know people and laughing. We miss him so much,” said the vice chairman of Bryanston Sports Club, Ian ‘Snowy’ Snowball.

Representatives of the club including the former chairman, Warren Davis, decided to support Ndlovu’s family during their time of need.

“We wanted to help his family with schooling for his two children. We raffled a four-and-a-half litter bottle of Chivas which was R100 per ticket and of course, some paid more than R100. We raised over R55 000 which will go some way to helping ease the strain on his wife, Pretty, with school fees,” said Snowball.

During the evening, members and non-members were given the chance to win big through two raffles, one for the bottle of Chivas and the other for R1 000.
