The Brescia House School athletics recently performed well at various athletics meetings.
According to the school, at a recent annual Catholic Schools Athletics meeting, the athletics team placed second out of a total of 12 schools.
Many of the learners placed first in a variety of races while learner Thea Holt broke the record for the 1 500m event.
The athletics team also recently participated in a meeting held by the school where it finished in first place.
“Our athletes did us proud winning 20 out of the 44 events. A big congratulations to our team, a big thank you to all our staff and pupils who helped on the day and thank you to all who came to support.”
The team now looks toward the rest of the athletic season, including the annual Inter-High Meeting at Germiston Stadium later this month.
