Load-shedding affects water supply in Joburg northern surburbs and surrounds

Johannesburg Water appeals to customers to reduce consumption during this time.

Joburg Water alerted the public on 19 September that pump stations which supply various towers in parts of the city are isolated during load-shedding.

Towers impacted will have low to no water during the load-shedding period.

The affected towers are as follows:

  • Northcliff Tower: Northcliff, Greymont, Valeriedene and Waterval Estate
  • Waterval Tower: Bergbron and parts of Northcliff
  • Illovo Tower: Hyde Park,Dunkle West, Inanda, Sandown, Sandhurst, Illovo and Wierda Valley
  • Bryanston Tower: Cramerview, Bryanston, Daniel Brinpark, Lyme Park, Vandia Grove, Hurlingham and Kensington B
  • President Park Tower: President park, Ebony Park, Kaalfontein, Rabie Ridge and Austin View
  • Rabie Ridge Tower: Rabie Ridge and Commercia
  • E Rand Tower: Halfway Gardens, Midridge Park, Noordwyk, Erand Gardens, Sagewood and Carlswald.

“Johannesburg Water is monitoring affected infrastructure and will ensure that water supply is restored as soon as possible to customers,” said Puleng Mopeli on behalf of the utility.
