A student of IIE Varsity College Sandton campus recently had her prayers answered after completing her degree, in the form of employment.
Kamohelo Wandile Motlafi who obtained her Bachelor of Arts in corporate communication qualification this year was given the opportunity of joining Matus under their internship programme. The company, which deals with the distribution of tools and hardware items to various retail stores, offered Motlafi a permanent position after completing her internship.
“While studying I always had the goal of firstly working for a successful organisation and then, later establishing my own marketing and public relations agency,” said Motlafi.
“I joined the campus social committee while I was doing my degree as head of administration as I knew that this would give me some form of work experience which would be a step in the right direction. This definitely helped me develop skills such as working with a team, time management and how to lead.”
