Add fitness to your schedule with the Nedbank Running team

Rajan Moodley of the Nedbank Running Club in Parkmore shares his benefits of running with his team.

Nedbank Running Club, based at George Lea Sports Club in Parkmore, has been successful in changing lives for the better through the power of unity and running.

Most individuals who think about jogging or even running, automatically think about the long journey without support. The club has been vocal in letting their community members know that they are more than just an organisation that focuses on breaking a sweat and burning a few calories.

“The Nedbank Running Club Sandton would further love to expand their numbers with people who wouldn’t mind socialising through running. The focus is not on how fast or good you can run, it’s about heart and also finishing your set of goals that you had with the club, whether it be fitness related or to have fun, participants are more than welcome to join. We accommodate anything,” said Rajan Moodley, a participant of the club.

Sandton Nedbank Running Club trains on Mondays (hill repeats), Wednesdays (time trial) at 17:30 and Saturdays (club run) at 06:30.

Holly Metlitzky, who recently joined the club was more than happy to share her reasons for being a part of the club. “I love that everyone can run at their own pace and still feel like they won gold once crossing the finishing line. You truly feel like you’re part of something big – family. That is why I love running with them.”
