On the day of the finals, teams from different sporting and country clubs were assigned to their bowling green section and were informed which team they were up against. With a total of 12 teams and a maximum of three individuals per team, the atmosphere of the tournament was both electric and serious as each individual put on their poker faces.

Towards the last stretch of the final sets, association president Rob Zimmerman made an appearance in support of the players participating in the tournament. In the end, all teams rounded up their scores and submitted them to the officials. One team in particular that made a drastic comeback and had an outstanding performance in their last set, catapulted them into winning the tournament.

“There are so many talented female bowlers here as well as teams. Quite frankly there was a number of teams that could’ve won today but on the day it was battle between Leeukop and Morningside Country Club,” said Lauder.

In the end, Leeukop took home first place. Runners-up of the tournament was Morningside Country Club and sitting on third place was another squad from Leeukop. Captain of Leeukop Lily Adamson said, “We were 9–0 down and came back. On the second last end we were peels [draw] at 18–18 and then we got three points on the last end. We won because of determination and my team’s fighting spirt.”
