According to Brescia House School’s head of marketing and admissions Helga Bishop, the wonderful project was made possible by Pick n Pay Epsom Downs who generously matched Brescia’s donation one-for-one.

“The school purchased 300 Chelsea buns, and Pick n Pay then donated a further 300. It was a wonderful morning seeing the community come together and serving one another,” Bishop said.

Store manager Daniel van den Berg said that the branch was more than happy to assist the school and give back to the community.

“They ordered 300 freshly baked Chelsea buns with the intention to give back to the community. The owner [Chad Dunnington] decided to assist them by adding 300 more to the cause. On Wednesday evening, our bakery team prepared the 600 freshly baked buns.”

The school shared a special message of thanks to owner Chad Dunnington and the team at Pick ‘n Pay Epsom Downs for their generosity and hard work.
