KZN families receive donations from Little Ashford Sandton

Principal of Little Ashford Sandton, Corné Logan, and her team play their part to assist people in KwaZulu-Natal through a visit and donations.

The aftermath of the KwaZulu-Natal flood disaster left many without homes and with little essentials such as food and clean water.

Representatives from Little Ashford Sandton, including principal Corné Logan, all joined heads and hands to assist some people who were greatly affected by the disaster.

The initiative of helping individuals situated in KwaZulu-Natal was initiated by Logan and her team. According to the principal, people from all over the country were affected in some way.

“So many of our families who attend here at Little Ashford Sandton either hale from KwaZulu-Natal originally or have family currently residing there. We were all impacted by the disaster in one way or another,” said Logan.

The team prepared over 200 sandwiches, collected various donations and funds made from their big walk fundraiser that took place on April 14.

Logan and her team traveled to KwaZulu-Natal on April 22 to hand over the donations to families and two children’s homes. The preschool was assisted by DC Coffee Co Fourways with the storage of some of their donations as they travelled to the province.

“We returned to Gauteng, a little sad, a little shaken and a little tired but grateful beyond measure. Grateful to belong to the type of organisation that not only encourages but also empowers its employees to make a difference every day. Grateful to be surrounded by a community of colleagues and parents who both share and support our passions to make a difference every day,” concluded Logan.
