Learners transported out of the classroom

The Grade 2 learners had the opportunity to step out of the classroom for fascinating talking and demonstrations from professionals in the transport industry.

Transport Day at St David’s Marist Inanda was well received as the learners recently had a first-hand look into the different modes of transport.

The Grade 2 learners had the opportunity to step out of the classroom for fascinating talks and demonstrations from professionals in the transport industry.

St David’s Marist Inanda took transport day out of the classroom and onto the field and interesting talks and demonstrations for its Grade 2 learners.

This included an engagement with South African Airways pilot Mongexi Mvelase who shared his knowledge and experience about the world of flying and what it takes to be a pilot.

A team from BMW Sandton also demonstrated the power of five impressive cars and two motorbikes.

The learners were also allowed to discover and experience the cars and bikes for themselves, many were encouraged to sit in the driver’s seat, hoot the horn and rev the engine.

“This day of experiential learning was definitely one that these students won’t be forgetting any time soon,” said the school in a social media post.
