Police arrest two suspects robbing victims

The suspects sped off when they noticed the police and a car chase ensued.

Two suspects were arrested by members of Sandton Police Station after they were spotted robbing victims of their belongings along Marlboro Drive.
 
The suspects aged 20 and 21 were apprehended in Alexandra on April 10 for attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and possession of presumed stolen goods.
 
 
According to a released statement by the South African Police Service, a preliminary report suggests that the SAPS members were out patrolling along Marlboro Drive when they noticed four suspects busy robbing victims of their belongings. The suspects sped off when they noticed the police and a car chase ensued.
 
 
“The suspects’ vehicle was successfully intercepted in Alexandra by the SAPS members. Two suspects were arrested and various stolen items were recovered. Two suspects fled the scene and managed to evade arrest,” read the statement.
 
The two alleged robbers are expected to appear in court soon.
