Grayston Preparatory spreads happiness

SANDTON – This was the second time the school community came together to host the collection drive.

The learners of Grayston Preparatory School continue to spread a little joy in the community.

The school community recently held a successful collection of fluffy toys for International Day of Happiness.

Declared by the United Nations General Assembly, International Day of Happiness (March 20) recognises the importance of happiness and well-being as common aims and ambitions in the lives of people worldwide.

According to the school’s Nicole Liebenberg, this was the second time teacher Mart-Marie Archer and the Outreach Committee have come together with the school community to host the collection drive.

The teddies found several amazing homes, which include the Teddy Bear Foundation, Hotel Hope, Kids Haven, the Oasis Haven of Love Foundation and Kindness Like Confetti.

“We were really excited to put a smile on the faces of some 800 children through this initiative.”
