City makes headway with Region E ratepayers
SANDTON – The City invited ratepayers in the region to visit its Customer Service Centre in Sandton on March 26 to resolve any outstanding queries that were previously logged with the centre and call centre.
The City of Johannesburg continues to make headway in improving its customer service for all ratepayers.
The City invited Region E ratepayers to visit its Customer Service Centre in Sandton on March 26 to resolve any outstanding queries that were previously logged with the centre and call centre.
Region E includes the suburbs of Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton.
According to MMC of Finance Julie Suddaby, the revenue team began the day with 686 outstanding queries.
Of those, 467 queries were successfully resolved, 64 queries are left for Johannesburg Water, City Power and Pikitup to resolve and the remaining 155 are in the process of being resolved.
“It is always good to see our customers meeting our teams for a resolution to their queries, both new and old. We are working tirelessly to resolve outstanding issues.”
The councillor added that while the City acknowledges that it may not always get everything right, it is starting to make headway after just three months into its new multi-party administration.
“The seven mayoral priorities talk about all the elements that make a successful city, and open days encompass those principles.
“The open days provide an opportunity for personal one-on-one talking opportunities with our customers, as well as giving the City an opportunity to highlight any new information we have to share.”
Suddaby would like to extend a thank you to the ratepayers for their continued patience as the local government continues to create a ‘city of opportunity.
