Partnership drives youth entrepreneurship

BRYANSTON – The School of Entrepreneurship has partnered with firm RJS Capital to develop 10 000 new entrepreneurs over the next five years through its programme.

Local resident Stacey Holland continues to advocate for youth development and entrepreneurship.

The Bryanston resident was recently brought on board as an ambassador for the School of Entrepreneurship’s Entrepreneurship Mastery Programme aimed at helping more students master the art and science of creating, building and scaling a business.

The school has partnered with firm RJS Capital to develop 10 000 new entrepreneurs over the next five years through its programme. The capital firm has stepped up to subsidise 85% of the tuition for the first 1 200 students who enrolled for its upcoming intake, which started on March 1.

According to Holland, from personal experience, having this assistance can go a long way in a potential entrepreneur’s journey. “I made the scary jump to being a full-time entrepreneur around 10 years ago. Notwithstanding the risks and uncertainty, it was the desire to dictate my own time that was the ultimate motivation.”

Holland added that one of the challenges she faced was a lack of mentorship, which is why she has a particular interest in the Entrepreneurship Mastery Programme. “The programme includes mentorship from over 25 coaches who are experts in their industries.”

These industries include marketing and innovation crypto and blockchain, sales, social entrepreneurship, branding and public relations, reputation management and many more.

Holland continues to encourage students and potential entrepreneurs to take control of their journey and get the help that they need. “Attend lectures, webinars or even enrol for a course like the School of Entrepreneurship which can provide structure and a blueprint.

“Formal education can never prepare you for every curveball in the world of entrepreneurship, but it certainly helps with structuring your thinking, connecting you to like-minded people and providing valuable weapons in your business arsenal.”
