Motorists must comply

WOODMEAD – O Kae Molao which translates to where's the law tackles criminal activities through numerous ways of prevention from police officials: roadblocks, stop and search procedures.

The O Kae Molao Operation was in full swing as police officials from various departments situated in Sandton all lined up to inspect the vehicles of the public during an organised roadblock in Buccleuch.

O Kae Molao which translates to ‘where’s the law’, aims at curbing criminal activities through roadblocks, stop-and-search procedures, sharing awareness on crime and safety and premises searching.’

The operation took place on February 10 on Pretoria Main Road near the Cell C head offices.

Colonel Cain Sibitane of the Sandton Police Station briefed the members of various police precincts and units with a clear target of the operation at Buccleuch. The objectives of the operation was to identify hijacked vehicles, business robberies, house robberies and the possession of stolen goods.

The corporate communication officer of the Sandton Police Station Captain Bheki Xulu stated that the operation proved to be a success as motorists complied with officers during the operation.

The main offences were the possession of drugs and unpaid traffic fines.
