Local musician supports the Sandton SPCA

SANDTON – The one-of-a-kind record was the result of a number of cross-species collaborations by the artist that went viral across social media.

Following the success of his Cat Jams EP, local musician David Scott, known as The Kiffness, recently donated over R100 000 to the Sandton SPCA.

The one-of-a-kind record was the result of a number of cross-species collaborations by the artist that went viral across social media.

Upon the release of the EP, Scott stated that because the felines played such a significant role in the making of the record, 50% of the streaming revenue would go to the local SPCA.

“I’m happy to announce that we’ve been able to raise over R100 000 ($7 000) for my local SPCA,” said Scott.

While Scott believed he would give cat songs a break after the release of the EP, fans continued to send in more amazing videos.

Having ‘no choice’, the local musician embraced the material and released the Cat James Deluxe EP.

The deluxe EP features viral feline sensations Alugalug Cat, Alugalug Cat 2.0, Big Billy, Numnum Cat, Oh Long Johnson and Mumble Cat.

The proceeds from the deluxe record will also go towards making a small difference in the life of an animal in need.
