PinkDrive and Brother Campaign host golf event for World Cancer Day

BRYANSTON – Golfing, a prize giving and the auctioning of an item donated by Gary Player encouraged members to donate towards the cause on February 2.

Bryanston Country Club was recently the talk of the town as they welcomed members of the community to the world cancer golf day.

The event which brings light to cancer was organised by the PinkDrive non-profit company and More Balls Than Most.

PinkDrive and More Balls Than Most shed light on the importance of early detection of various types of cancers such as breast, prostate, testicular and cervical cancer. The organisations run multiple mobile point-of-contact service deliveries to educate communities on ways of detecting cancer early.

Golfers from all parts of Gauteng participated in the annual golf day on February 2 in hopes of spreading awareness and raising funds for the cause. With the primary focus of the day being the promotion of cancer, participants were fully active as they performed various activities. Golfing activities, prize giving and the auctioning of an item donated by Gary Player, who was famously known as the ‘The Black Knight’, during the dinner segment encouraged members to donate towards the cause on February 2.

PinkDrive and More Balls Than Most are more than grateful for their successful run of this year’s World Cancer Day event at the Bryanston Country Club. They extended their gratitude to Bryanston Country Club, individuals and to the companies that contributed towards the cause and look forward to the future of assisting communities on various ways to detect cancer early to save lives.
