Giving hope to the community’s children

HURLINGHAM – The foundation is hoping to reach a minimum of 1 000 children by the end of the month.

The Rays of Hope non-profit foundation is looking to assist more learners in need in the Alexandra community with their schooling journey.

For the month of January, the foundation is driving its Back to School campaign to support orphaned children and children whose parents have lost their jobs.

According to marketing and events coordinator Thando Duma, the foundation would like to call on the community to make school any school uniform, stationery or monetary donations.

“Rays of Hope believes that no child should go to school without the basic necessities.

“We all know that education is the key to a child’s success in life, but sadly for many, they simply don’t have the proper tools to ensure they can achieve their potential or even study at all.”

The foundation is hoping to reach a minimum of 1 000 children by the end of the month.

“With your help, we can make their education journey easier by ensuring that these children are well equipped and ready to learn,” said Duma.
