New developments for St Peter’s College for the new year

SUNNINGHILL – New academic and sports facilities on St Peter’s College grounds are some the school's goals for 2022.

A number of new projects are on the horizon at St Peter’s College with the new year looking bright.

Headmaster of the school, Rui Morais said even with all the previous year’s disruptions, the school is still growing with learners registering and classes being expanded.
With the expansion of the school comes expansion of new facilities. He said, “We are still experiencing growth.

Because of the growth, we are building a new maths centre to accommodate the growth. There are a number of campus projects we are looking to do in the year, and one also includes a new indoor basketball centre. It will also be used as a multipurpose centre for other sports, but for us to also host big events so it is something on the cards.”

With Grade 12 results from their final exams set to come out soon, Morais had nothing but praise for the learners and the work they put in throughout the year and in their exams. “The Class of 2021 have had to endure almost two years of Covid but they have been absolute heroes. The way they have adapted to things have been instrumental in bringing about positive change in the school.
“We send big kudos to them, especially in this year in the way they have gone about engaging with the school.”
