Rays of Hope gives thanks to sponsors and looks forward to 2022

SANDTON – Rays of Hope continues to run their programmes of offering support to the vulnerable community members of Alexandra through the provision of support groups, counselling, educational support and afterschool programmes

Rays of Hope continued to share their hope with the country despite facing the harsh reality of the global pandemic.

The organisation had a lot to look forward to in 2021, one of the things in which they celebrated this year was their 30th year of partnering with the community of Alexandra.

Due to the aftermath of the pandemic in 2020, the organisation played catch-up with various programmes in 2021 that were put on hold. The Young Moms Support Group, the latest programme of the organisation, focuses on providing teenage girls with the tools to raise their children: parenting skills on how to raise children, encouraging them on continuing with their studies and many more. The organisation added their time and attention to the Grade 10 and Grade 11 learners in order to expand their career paths for the future.

Rays of Hope continues to run their programmes of offering support to the vulnerable community members of Alexandra through the provision of support groups, counselling, educational support and afterschool programmes. The organisation strives to build a strong relationship with schools situated in Alex in hopes of creating more programmes that will better the community in 2022.

Wish list for the holiday:

With the help from various organisations and individuals, Rays of Hope is able to cater for each of their families with food hampers for this year’s Christmas. The next goal for the organisation is helping children kick-start their 2022 on a positive note. The organisation requires a few donations for providing next year’s learners with school shoes, uniforms and stationery.

“This year has been a roller coaster of a year, as we’ve adapted to the ‘new normal’ brought about with Covid-19. Every decision has had to be made differently, every person has needed to be treated differently but, through the year, with lots of hard work and tough choices, Rays of Hope has grown stronger and we are excited for what 2022 holds,” concluded the education manager of Rays of Hope, Bafana Mohale.

Rays of Hope gives thanks to all its partners that range from corporates to schools. The organisation extends its gratitude to the staff members and volunteers who have given their time and energy in building a brighter future for the leaders of tomorrow.
