Fight all forms of abuse in the 16 Days of Activism

SANDTON – We live in an unsafe environment where time is no longer a factor of danger but the mindset and motives of individuals are.

Violence has never been the answer to anything, especially when projecting the inhumane act toward women and children.

The 16 Days of Activism honours and fights for the rights of abused children and women. The campaign begins on November 25 and ends on December 10.

The 16 Days of Activism tackles one of the most important social issues that is greatly affecting the country and the world as a whole, abuse toward women and children. The world is no longer safe for anyone, especially for children and women.

The campaign focuses on numerous factors that help the movement – spreading the awareness of abuse to the masses, assure victims of abuse that they are not alone, assistance is always provided and available for them and lastly, helping victims find their voices. The government, private sector and civil society will address the social issue through series of conversations with communities.

According to the Western Cape Government website, there are numerous ways to show your support during the 16 Days of Activism:
