5. I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)
Starring Freddie Prince Jr and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Is a slasher horror movie that follows a group of teenagers who are being stalked by a deranged fisher man with a killer right hook.

4. The Descent (2005)
Group of adrenaline junkies go on an expedition to explore an uncharted cave. They soon find themselves trapped in the cave alongside with hungry night creatures. Not an ideal movie for people who are claustrophobic

3. The Strangers (2008)
Two couples try to rekindle their relationship by spending a weekend at a remote vacation home. Their romantic weekend out is short lived as they get disturbed by three masked individuals who are looking for some time to kill.

The Ritual, a book inspired horror movie that was written by Adam Nevill begins with four friends hiking down a trial in the northern part of Sweden (Kungsleden) to honour the life of their deceased friend wo was brutally killed a year before. They soon regret the hike after hearing and seeing things in the forest.

The perfect palate cleanser after watching a scary movie is watching a rom com, in this case 500 Days of Summer. The movie is centred on a man who is questioning and reflecting on a relationship that he had with his partner. Through his reflection, he discovers that they were things that he missed which leads him to hunt for answers.
