The following candidates are running for Ward 103 are looking to win your vote on November 1.

Ward 103 includes the suburbs of Bryanston East, Benmore, Hurlingham, Morningside, Parkmore, Riverclub, Sandown, Sandton CBD and parts of Strathavon.

Here is what they say they have in store for the ward once they are elected:

LYNDA SHACKELFORD, DA: I am committed to focusing on service delivery, maintaining oversight on infrastructure delivery, and ensuring Ward 103 remains one of the best places in the city to live in.
RUTH THIEL, ANC: The needs of the ward are well known and have been clearly articulated by taxpayers and voters. Failing to respond to these needs (safety and security, infrastructure, electricity, property taxes and gender-based violence) will result in further losses to emigration, with the concomitant knock-on effects for our national and global competitiveness. I pledge to prioritise, respond to and work tirelessly to meet voter demands.
