“Bowls is a great game that can be played and enjoyed by all,” said the club’s Dave Arnison.

One player in particular, Solly Solomon, who recently celebrated his 81st birthday, finished in first place. He was the only player to win all of his games.

Finishing in tied second was Priscilla Auret, Rose Wilson and Bonny Jephson.

Earlier in the month, a number of local bowlers gave a stellar performance in the Gauteng Open Bowls Tournament.

According to Arnison, out of 1 000 bowlers from all over Gauteng, 13 Bryanston bowlers won their respective sections.

Special mention goes to Di Jerrard and Price Neluonde who not only played exceptionally but also made it to the last 16 of the Gauteng Open mixed pairs.
