NGO repaints the rainbow nation

RIVONIA – Hope SA strives to reduce hunger in South Africa with a daily food drive where they serve 400 cooked meals and provide 250 food parcels every month to support families in need.

From serving food to donating clothes and resources to displaced people, Hope SA continues to fight and strive for a better Rainbow Nation.

Hope SA was founded by Namritha Sivsanker in 2000 as Hope Foundation Africa. The main priority of the organisation is to reduce poverty and assist children and women who have been abused.

The local non-profit organisation based in Rivonia extended a helping hand to the people of KwaZulu-Natal during the recent looting which left many without daily essentials. The organisation assisted many with the provision of food, nappies and toiletries.
Hope SA also runs a daily food drive where they serve 400 cooked meals, and provide 250 food parcels every month to support families in need.

Another initiative is to help women in need by providing various items such as toiletries, sanitary pads and pepper spray, and educating recipients about gender-based violence.

Sivsanker concluded, “Hope SA for me means to leave a legacy behind. That legacy is being able to leave a positive impact in this world where people have a place of safety and where people know that there are kind people out there who are willing to listen and to help.”
