Following the unrest across the Johannesburg, Discovery South Africa and Momentum Metropolitan have made the decision to temporarily close their vaccination sites.

According to a statement by Momentum on July 12, its vaccination sites in Sandton and Doringkloof will be closed from today (July 13) until further notice.
“Momentum Metropolitan is disappointed that it has had to make this decision that further delays the rollout of the vaccine, however, for the safety of all staff and clients, closure is necessary,” read the statement.
Noting the same on its social media, Discovery added that updates would be shared directly with those scheduled to attend its sites as they become available.

“We are taking precautionary measures to keep our people safe and ask for your patience as some of our services may take longer than normal,” read the social media post.
Discovery’s mass vaccination sites are located in Sandton and Midrand.
