Showing appreciation to Sandton police

WOODMEAD – According to Growthpoint’s Lee-Anne Da Silva, the retail park is a centre that always puts the safety and security of its tenants and shoppers at the forefront.

The Woodmead retail community paid a special thank you to its heroes in blue.

Growthpoint’s Woodmead Retail Park hosted members of the Sandton Police Station on 27 May for an afternoon lunch to show their appreciation for all the hard work they do.

According to Growthpoint’s Lee-Anne Da Silva, the retail park is a centre that always puts the safety and security of its tenants and shoppers at the forefront.

“This, however, wouldn’t be possible without the assistance of the SAPS and we’re fortunate enough to have a long-standing relationship with a few key role players of the SAPS,” Da Silva said.

She noted that there has been an increased police presence in the area and particularly in the retail park which has made a noticeable difference. “People can feel more confident coming to the centre knowing that their safety is a priority.”

Also in attendance was Captain Thabo Shilubane who noted how thankful and proud he was to be part of the sector team making a difference in the community.
